Shows how a Wikipedia infobox photo has changed over time: the current photo of the depicted person plus the two it replaced, side by side, each with when and by whom it was swapped in.

Input

• A Commons photo (file name or link) — resolves the depicted person via the file's depicts (P180) statement, then their Wikipedia article. Warns if the photo isn't that person's current infobox photo, but still shows the history.
• A Wikipedia article (name or link).
• A Commons photo category (a bare name, Category:…, or a category link) — scans its files in chunks, resolves who each depicts, and lists the people whose current infobox photo is one of those files (crop-aware), with each person's history, newest current photo first. Subcategory depth sets how deep the tree is walked; Scan more files continues the scan. Enumeration is capped at a few thousand files; Slow un-capped scan walks the whole tree. You can Save partway through and resume in a later session. Re-check all files re-runs depicts + liveness over every file to catch people who became live since a scan (a photo that only later got a depicts statement, or only later became the infobox photo).

Notes

• Images to show sets how many photos back to display (current + previous), 1–10; default 3.
• Crop variants of the same photo are treated as one; for a single subject, each photo's other crops are listed beneath it. Hide crop originals collapses that away, leaving only the exact (possibly cropped) version that was in the infobox.
• Copy static URL builds a shareable link that prefills the form and runs automatically.
• All data comes from read-only calls to the public Wikimedia APIs.
